'Beautifully Broken' Film Screening

February 10, 2019
1:00pm – 3:00pm
Location: 3324 Malibu Canyon Road, Malibu, CA 90265
Category: All Church Missions & Outreach Adult Ministries Coordinator: Saona Jackson
On Sunday, February 10th, at 1pm in the MPC Sanctuary (after the taco lunch in the big tent!) we will screen the film "Beautifully Broken" which tells the story of three families, including the story of Ebralie and William Mwizerwa, refugees from the Rwanda genocide. Ebralie will be with us to speak and answer questions afterwards.
The movie is rated PG-13 and Common Sense Media says 14+ because of "violent genocide flashbacks" but it is a "Christian movie" and has a powerful message. No childcare provided.
Ebralie Mwizerwa is Africa coordinator for the Outreach Foundation in Nashville Tennessee. Ebralie and her husband William are survivors of the Rwanda genocide, and after spending time in a refugee camp in Kenya were relocated as refugees to Nashville by First Presbyterian Church. A Christian film that came out this summer, "Beautifully Broken", tells their story. Their escape was near miraculous and their lives were literally saved by a storm.
